Our long-term goal is to unravel the principles of biological systems from the understanding of functions of biomacromolecules, such as proteins, DNA and RNA, which are governed by their structures and dynamics.  Among our various interests, we are focusing on DNA recombination that plays fundamental roles in evolution and genetic heredity, and cellular signal transduction systems that regulate gene functions in response to the environmental stimuli.  Genetic, cellular biological, biochemical, and structure-biological approaches are our devices for the investigations of behaviour of cells, organelle and biomacromolecules from a global perspective.
